From the President’s Pen

Welcome to the 2011/2012 Roundtable year! My name is Ella Kennedy. I am delighted to be this year’s President of the Roundtable. I work with CEVA Logistics, and have been in Global Logistics Supply Chain, here in Southern California for many years. I have also been a long time active member of the Board of Directors of the Southern California Roundtable having served most recently as VP of Programs.

Our 2010-2011 Round table hosted many exciting programs, tours and symposium, with the help and assistance of our board, and our members

Highlights included:

-        Incoterms – 2011

-        Avon on site Tour

-        Holiday Scholarship Luncheon ( $ 10,000.00 presented to Southern California colleges)

-        Toyota on site Tour

-        Lean Symposium – 2^nd annual

-        Disneyland – behind the scenes

In line with CSCMP corporate vision, our events always have an opportunity for supply chain professionals to network with each other to develop and improve their supply chain management skills. We continue to work to advance the knowledge base of supply chain theory and practice and work hard to include as many students of supply chain and logistics from our local colleges and universities. Each year we provide several scholarships to local students to help them advance in their studies.

We have over 30 active members on our board, including our “young professionals” board members, and look forward to hearing from you if you would like to join us. Please feel free to contact me.
