Scholarship Announcement
Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution

CSCMP – Southern California Roundtable announces its 2011 Scholarship Competition. Four scholarships of $2500 will be awarded to promising Southern California undergraduate and/or masters level students from a Southern California college or university (Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino or Ventura Counties) pursuing studies in business, engineering, economics, and public policy, plus others with a demonstrated interest in a career in supply chain management, logistics, transportation, distribution, or a closely related field. These awards are cash grants that can be used for any bona fide educational purpose. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents. Applicants may not have previously received a scholarship award from the Southern California Roundtable, although applicants who have received travel awards for the CSCMP Global Conference are eligible.
To Apply: Send a letter of application to the address below. Letters are at most three pages, and must contain complete contact information, work and academic history, current work and academic affiliation and standing, degree objective with expected date of graduation, and current GPA. The letter should also describe your civilian, military, or academic work history, previous college attendance, and any project work, personal activities, or other evidence of your suitability and interest in a career in the supply chain industry. You must also include a single letter of recommendation from a faculty member or professional colleague familiar with your history, your academic career, or your career goals, who should comment on your academic performance and career potential.
