Greetings Southern California Supply Chain professionals:

I am Felicia Cousar, and I am very pleased to serve as your Roundtable President for the ensuing year.  To keep the momentum of our success, we have a fantastic slate of events planned for this year, and I look forward to continued success this year.  It is my goal and mission to continue bringing value to our region and I would like us to focus on the following major objectives this year: 

Programs – Kent Hinds, the VP of Programs, has established an impressive calendar of monthly events which entail tours, luncheons, workshops and an all day symposium.  Our programs seek to provide CSCMP members and guests with useful information on timely subjects.  We have built a community of members that network with each other to improve job performance and advance careers.  All of our programs are building upon our Annual Symposium, which will focus on the “Lean Supply Chain”.  This event will take place on April 22, 2010.

Scholarships – Our recent programs successes have allowed us the opportunity to expand our scholarship program to new heights.  For example, last year we awarded 4 students with a generous scholarship of $2500 each. This year, we will continue our tradition of awarding scholarships to deserving college students.  In addition, to the monetary scholarships, we will sponsor a student to attend the Annual Global CSCMP conference in Chicago this year.

Sponsorship – Last year we allowed corporate sponsorship of our CSCMP/USC Symposium.  Sponsorships will be available for the majority of our events this year.  It is an excellent way for companies and organizations to affiliate themselves with CSCMP.  The funds will be used to maintain and expand our aggressive scholarship and community programs. Community- Last year for the first time we provided toys to less fortunate children by providing toys to Santa Claus Inc. a 501 (c)(3) We touched many families last year.  We shall continue in our charitable sharing and improving our name throughout the community.

Southern California Board of Directors - We have a very good board this year, and as many of you are aware, we have over 16 members that currently active on the board, and we are always interested in new members to the board with interest in taking an active role on our several committees.

We are an ambitious group with high goals.  We look forward to seeing you throughout the coming year.  On behalf of the Southern California Roundtable Board, I sincerely look forward to working with you all this year!
